Welcome to My Local Small Business (MLSB).
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the MLSB website, services, and any websites created through our platform. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. About MLSB
MLSB ("we", "our", "us") provides an online platform that enables small businesses to create and manage a professional online presence.
Our services include, but are not limited to:
- Website creation
- Business directory listings
- AI-assisted content generation
- Website templates
- Image galleries
- Contact information
- Business news and events
- Future premium features and subscriptions
2. Definitions
Account
Your registered MLSB account.
Business Website
Any website or webpage created using the MLSB platform.
Content
Text, images, logos, graphics, videos, documents and other material uploaded by you.
Free Plan
The free level of service offered by MLSB.
Premium Services
Any paid subscription or optional features offered by MLSB.
3. Eligibility
You must:
- be at least 18 years old, or
- have permission from the business owner to manage the account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
4. Your Responsibilities
You agree that any information you publish:
- is accurate
- is lawful
- does not infringe copyright
- does not contain malicious software
- is not offensive, abusive or defamatory
- does not promote illegal products or services
- complies with applicable UK laws.
You remain responsible for all content published under your account.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the content you upload.
By uploading content, you grant MLSB a non-exclusive licence to host, display and process your content for the purpose of providing our services.
You confirm that you own the content or have permission to use it.
6. AI Generated Content
MLSB may provide AI-assisted tools to help create text or images.
You remain responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before publishing.
MLSB cannot guarantee that AI-generated material will always be accurate, complete or suitable for your business.
7. Business Listings
Businesses may be displayed within the MLSB directory.
We reserve the right to:
- review listings
- approve or reject listings
- edit obvious formatting errors
- remove listings that breach these Terms.
8. Free Accounts
The Free Plan currently has no charge.
We may change or discontinue free features in the future.
Existing accounts may be migrated to updated plans where appropriate.
9. Premium Services
Some features require payment.
Where subscriptions apply:
- prices will be shown before purchase
- subscriptions renew as described during purchase
- you may cancel future renewals at any time
- payments already made are generally non-refundable unless required by law.

10. Acceptable Use
You must not use MLSB to:
- distribute spam
- impersonate another person or business
- upload malware
- attempt to gain unauthorised access
- publish unlawful material
- distribute copyrighted material without permission
- interfere with the operation of the platform.

11. Availability
We aim to keep MLSB available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
Maintenance, upgrades and unforeseen technical issues may occasionally affect availability.
12. Backups
Although we maintain backups of our systems, you are responsible for keeping copies of your own content.
13. Account Suspension
We may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- breach these Terms
- contain illegal content
- repeatedly violate our policies
- attempt to abuse the platform
- compromise platform security.
Where appropriate, we will attempt to notify you before taking action.
14. Termination
You may close your account at any time.
Upon closure, your website and associated content may be removed after a reasonable retention period.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MLSB shall not be liable for:
- loss of profits
- loss of business
- loss of reputation
- indirect or consequential losses
- downtime outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Material changes will be announced through the website or your account dashboard.
Continued use of MLSB constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
